Johnston Quarter has taken another key step towards the next phase of our business park expansion with a £250,000 investment in a new high-voltage power connection.
The connection will provide the electricity capacity needed to support up to 360,000 sq ft of new industrial, warehousing, manufacturing and commercial space, for which we secured outline planning permission in April 2026.
When fully developed, subject to reserved matters applications, Johnston Quarter will increase from 650,000 sq ft to more than one million sq ft of industrial and commercial space.
This is intended to support the creation of 1,090 jobs and generate around £57.3 million in annual gross value added for the regional economy.
